Are you looking for a better way to start your day? These Apple Morning Tubs are independent literacy and math activities that your students can complete as they walk into your classroom. This set includes 5 literacy and 5 math morning tubs that are perfect for children around the ages of 4-6.

What's Included:

Literacy Morning Tubs:

☼ ABC Apple Tree:

Your students will select an apple alphabet card and identify the lowercase or capital letter. They will then form that letter on the apple tree using play dough.

☼ Apple Bushel CVC Match:

Your students will select an apple card and read the CVC word on it. They will then find the bushel with the picture of the word and match the apple and bushel together.

☼ Real & Nonsense Apple Word Sort:

Your students will select an apple card and read the word on it. They will then identify the word as real such as “red” or silly like “zog” and place the card on the correct mat.

☼ Apple Bushel Syllable Sort:

Your students will select an apple card, identify the picture, and count the number of syllables in the word. They will then place the apple picture card on the correct syllable card (1-4.)

☼ Apple Tree Sounds Game:

Your students will select a picture card and identify the letter and sound that the picture begins with. They will move their game piece on the game board and take turns until they identify all of the beginning sounds.

Math Morning Tubs:

☼ Apple Counting Clip Cards:

Your students will select a card and count the number of apples. They will then place a clothespin on the number.

☼ Apple Tree Roll & Cover:

Your students will roll a die and count the number of dots. They will then find that number on the apple tree and cover it up using a marker. There are also “Plus 1” and “Minus 1” game boards too.

☼ Apple Subitizing Sort:

Your students will select an apple tree mat and identify the number word on it. They will then sort through the leaves and find the number, counting fingers, and ten frame for the number on the apple tree mat.

☼ Adding To 10 Apple Trees:

Your students will select an apple tree addition mat and count the number of apples on the tree. They will then use pom poms, two-color counters, mini erasers, or other counting manipulative to add on to 10.

☼ Color Apple Graph:

Your students will roll a die and look at the key to identify the color apple for that number. They will then graph the data.
